On February 4th three Varela students were invited to a behind the scenes taping of ESPN Sports Center at South Beach. They had the opportunity to meet and hear from Alonzo Mourning, retired basketball player of the Miami Heat. The students were then escorted to the South Beach ESPN stage set up on the beach. The met directors and producers and watched the live taping of ESPN Sports Center.
