The following Varela athletes were honored last Friday at the Miami Herald All-Dade Awards Banquet. Taking home top honors were:
Hayley Barrow – Softball: Hitter of the Year
Margarita Rosario – LaLey Winter Female Athlete of the Year
Alvaro Acosta – LaLey Winter Male Athlete of the Year
Coach Gonzalez – Boys Soccer Coach of the Year
