Communication Academy

Please join me in congratulating all the students in the Communications Academy at Varela Senior High School.

On Saturday, October 3rd they participated in the Florida Scholastic Press Association's Journalism Day Conference at FIU and they received first place in every contest they entered.

The WVHS News Program was voted #1 in Miami- Dade County in the Carry in News Program Competition.

Viper Vibe (newspaper) students received first place in the On The Spot Newspaper Competition.

Vox Vipera (literary magazine) students received first place in the On The Spot Liz Mag Competition.

WVHS News students received First Place in the On the Spot News Reporting.
