2010 Miami National College Fair

• The 2010 Miami National College Fair wil be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel, 777 NW 72nd Avenue, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
• The fair is an opportunity to serve the community by encouraging all young people to countinue their education and fulfill their potential.
• It is sponsored by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Division of Student Services and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
• School Board Member Perla Tabares Hantman and Ms. Deborah A. Montilla, District Director, Division of Student Services, co-chair the National College Fair Local Committee.
• More than 150 colleges and universities from around the country will have representatives to answer questions about admission, courses, and financial aid.
• An on-site counseling center will provide students and their parents with academic advice and college planning information.
• A computer center will allow students to search for scholarships and research schools and occupations.
• All 8th - 12th grade students and their parents are encouraged to attend the fair. Information sessions about the value of a college education, the steps needed to prepare for the application process, and the availability of financial aid will be presented.
