NSU is the only independent, not-for-profit university in Florida offering the 100 percent scholarship to Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholars (BFFAS). In addition, NSU is also providing a $500 Residence Scholarship for all eligible BFFAS students choosing to live in the university residence halls.
Eligibility requirements for the award are as follows:
Meet all eligibility requirements of the Florida Academic Scholars Award (Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholars) including:
3.5 grade point average
1270 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 28 Composite ACT
75 community-service hours
15 credits of college preparatory academic courses
First-time enrollee at NSU in fall
First-time in college student, graduating from an accredited Florida high school.
Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate program at NSU's main campus in Ft. Lauderdale.
Must apply for and receive Florida Residency Access Grant (FRAG).
To apply, students need to fill out the NSU Bright Futures Scholars Award application and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and NSU State Aid application forms.
