Do you know.... any academically strong high school students with great leadership potential?
LEAD is currently accepting applications for three summer programs: LEAD Business, LEAD Engineering, and LEAD Global.
LEAD Business (SBI): Available for high school juniors with a 3.0 GPA or better who are involved in their schools and communities. Participating universities include: Dartmouth College, Duke University, Northwestern University, Stanford University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania and the University of Virginia. SBIs are 3 to 4 week residential programs that immerse participants in a range of topics from finance and marketing, to e-commerce and entrepreneurship. Application deadline is January 25, 2011.
LEAD Engineering (SEI): Available for high school sophomores and juniors with a 3.2 GPA or better who show great interest in mathematics and the sciences.
Participating universities include California Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkeley, University of Michigan, Villanova University, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Virginia. The SEI curriculum focuses on areas of engineering including electrical, mechanical, civil, computer and civil engineering; associated disciplines such as chemical, biotech, biomolecular, materials science, aerospace, polymer-textile/fiber and technological systems are also studied. Application deadline is January 25, 2011.
LEAD Global (SGI): Available for high school sophomores with a 3.0 GPA who are ready to live and study abroad. The Global program exposes American students to global career opportunities alongside peers from different countries in one program so that all participants might make better informed decisions when choosing a college or profession. LEAD Global will take place in Cape Town, South Africa at the University of Cape Town. Application deadline is January 25, 2011.
